Workshops

In order to analyse our present understanding of ecosystem processes and modelling ecosystem functioning under atmospheric and climatic changes, a series of workshops will be organised and key researchers will be invited.

Workshop 5/Conference: June 15-17th 2011 in Keflavik, Iceland.
Workshop on "Nutrient constraints on the net carbon balance" organised together with US network INTERFACE

Workshop 4: Young Scientists workshop September 2011
ClimMani will sponsor a two-week workshop focused on analyzing responses of terrestrial ecosystems to climate manipulation (week 1) and on writing a review based on these findings (week 2). This workshop will be held in Belgium in September 2011 and will be organized by Ivan Janssens. To foster knowledge transfer to younger generations, 5-10 early-career researchers (PhD students and junior post-docs) will be invited to participate in this writing workshop. ClimMani is offering support to people interested in participating in this workshop in the form of travel grants. These grants cover travel (maximum of 500 Euro) and lodging (weekly subsistence allowance of 400 EUR). Interested people should send a one-page letter of interest and their CV to Ivan Janssens (ivan.janssens@ua.ac.be) before May1st 2011. Members of the ClimMani steering committee will then evaluate the applications. Selected candidates will be expected to actively participate both in data analysis as well as in the writing.

Workshop 3: 22-24 June 2010 - Vindeln Sweden
